Pandalela Rinong Career

At the 2009 World Aquatics Championships, she won a bronze medal in the Women's 10 m Synchronized Platform with Mun Yee Leong and placed 5th in the Women's 10 m platform.She also competed in theWomen's 10 m platform at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
She was the flag bearer for the Malaysian contingent at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore where she won the silver medals in the girls' 10m platform event and 3m springboard event.
At New Delhi 2010, she won Malaysia's firstCommonwealth Games gold medal in an aquatic sport by winning the women's 10m platform.
She became Malaysia's first female flag bearer at the Opening Ceremonies of the2012 London Olympics where she competed in the individual 10 m platform and the 10 m platform synchronised event with her partnerLeong Mun Yee.
She became the first Malaysian female athlete to win an Olympics medal, and the first Malaysian athlete to win an Olympics medal in a sport besides badminton by winning a bronze medal in the Women's 10 m platform at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
To commemorate her success,she was presented with the Johan Bintang Kenyalang (Companion of the Order of the Star of Hornbill) by the Sarawak State Government,in a special investiture ceremony,held at the Astana shortly after her triumphant return to her homeland.She became Sarawak's first athlete to be accorded with the award.

In July 2015, Rinong made history when she became the first Malaysian to finish on the podium in an individual event in the World Aquatics Championships.She clinches a bronze medal in the women’s 10m platform individual discipline in the event held inKazanRussia. With that winning, Pandelela became the first Malaysian athlete to qualify for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics in Brazil.
She represented Malaysia at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. On 9 August 2016, She and Cheong Jun Hoongwon the silver medal in the women's 10m synchronized diving event in the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the first Malaysian women's team to win a silver medal at the Olympics.

Lee merangkul pingat perak di temasya Sukan Olimpik 2008 dan2012 , maka menjadi rakyat Malaysia pertama yang layak ke pusingan akhir acara perseorangan lelaki, sekaligus menamatkan kemarau pingat Olimpik Malaysia sejak tahun1996. Pencapaian ini mengurniakan gelaranDatuk kepadanya, serta sanjungan oleh Perdana Menteri Malaysia Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak sebagai wira kebangsaan.
Lee menduduki tangga teratas dalam ranking pemain badminton lelaki perseorangan selama 199 minggu berturut-turut, iaitu pada 21 Ogos 2008 hingga 14 Jun 2012. Beliau ialah pemain badminton Malaysia ketiga yang mencapai tangga teratas selepas Rashid Sidek dan Roslin Hashim (semenjak ranking rasmi dimulakan pada 1980-an), dan juga satu-satunya jaguh badminton Malaysian yang mempertahankan kedudukan teratasnya selama lebih dua minggu.
